After 2 years of operating under a temporary permit by the USFS,Mountain Fairy Shuttle has been granted a 10 year permit to conduct business on Forest Service roads and trailhead parking lots.
Pick up and drop off locations included in the permit are:Galena Lodge,SNRA headquarter parking lot,Fisher Creek,and all trailhead areas in the Sawtooth National Forest and Ketchum Ranger District. Mountain Fairy will continue summer service for mountain bikers and backpackers,and this winter will provide transportation to the north valley Nordic trails.
After receiving this long term permit owner Randy Flood hopes to re-vamp their web site and make improvements to the 1 ton “pink” 15 passenger van.
The service is an asset to Blaine County residents and visitors as it eases logistical burdens enabling passengers a longer “one-way” adventure and also reduces parking and road congestion in forested areas while also reducing the carbon footprint of the outdoor adventurers.
